「On arrival we was greeted with a strong smell of damp. There was a lot of spiders and dead and live wood lice all around the house. The live were taken outside and the dead were sucked up the very doggy smelling vacuum cleaner. The sofa smelt of dogs and the sink had stuck on food remnants and dead wood lice. The only good points were: the bed was comfy and the nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco. Would we recommend and stay again? Unfortunately no.」

This is in contrast to a number of occasions where I have experienced disappointment when staying at other hotels. The general amenity of the Gateway is extremely pleasant and the staff have managed a relaxing and comfortable public area.」

「Absolutely fabulous room with spectacular views of the sea.A very warm welcoming from Kyle who could of been any more pleasant or helpfull.The room recently refurbished was immaculate Lovely large comftable bed with large tv screen and a wonderful bathroom.No bar or restaurant or breakfasts but many eating places close by .Highly reccomended」

Has a shop (drink, food, etc), a cafeteria and a petrol station attached in a walking distance. 家族経営で始まったホテルのようですが、とてもよかったです。スタッフも親切で、朝食も十分でした。高速道路からすぐのところにあり、湖水地方訪問のために二泊しました。ガソリンスタンド、コンビニのようなお店、カフェテリアがすぐそばにあり、ドリンクやサンドイッチなども買えます。ホテルのBarではドリンクの他にハンバーガーやサンドイッチも頂くことができます。」

「I liked the sea view. I liked the friendliness of the staff and that they listened to my requests. However my room was too small. The TV plug only just reached the wall socket. The kettle and bedside light had to sit on the floor because I couldn't plug them in otherwise. There was no bedside table. My room was not made up between the first and second nights. My toilet seat snapped off and was unusable. There was not much choice at breakfast, marmalade and only one choice of cereal.」

「The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom could do with some updating. Several significant cracks in the walls and evidence of water leaks around the heated towel rail and over bath shower head was leaking water out when running the bath taps. We only had one night so not really an issue for us.」

「The hotel was on the main street with shops and pubs all in walking distance. We were able to eat and drink at the Red Dragon. The only drawback was no on site parking so the car had to be left about 10 minutes walk away. This was the only issue the rest was great.」

「Property appears to have been recently made over, everything is new and fresh, extremely clean and although on the small side the rooms are perfect for overnight stays, comfortable bed and with more than enough tea/coffee supplies unlike a lot of places. The continental breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. We could not fault the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall excellent value for money and we will definitely go back」

「They forgot for housekeeping. When I check out, I asked to keep my luggage, but they did not store, they just left at reception desk where i put as it is. No one took care, and I was lucky it was not stolen. Terrible and unbelievable.」
