"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location. "

"Sehr schönes Hotel, wir hatten ein großes und ansprechendes Doppelzimmer im dritten Stock. Es war sehr leise, von innen aber auch von außen ( obwohl zur Seite mit der Bundesstraße gelegen ). Sehr schicker und großer Wellnesbereich mit tollem Pool, hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut, uns hat hier nichts gefehlt. "Rigtig pæn og ren lejlighed. Sengene var meget behagelige (også sovesofaen). Der manglede dog nogle større knive (brødkniv mm.) i køkkenet, men det er også det eneste “negative” omkring hele lejligheden. Parkeringen var nem og gratis, med parkering lige ude foran. Kan kun anbefales. "
