"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"The hotel was fine. Friendly staff, room was good, breakfast was good. Outdoor area looks a little sad, with unkept entrance area (weeds). We Would, However, stay again. Very reasonably priced"

"Das Personal arbeitete unauffällig im Hintergrund aber durchaus auch serviceorientiert. Überragend war die absolute Ruhe in der Umgebung des Hotels. Auch störte es mich persönlich überhaupt nicht, dass es zwei Minuten Fussweg vom Zimmer zum Frühstücksraum waren."

"We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location. "

"Jeg boede på hotellet i en uge, sammen med min søn. Han sidder i kørestol så derfor er det vigtigt at tingene fungerer. Det var et fantastisk sted og alt fungerer, beliggenheden er også perfekt udgangspunkt til udflugter og byen super hyggelig. Værelserne og indretningen er gennemført og nyt og lækkert. Ekstra lækkert var saunaen."
