"This is a lovely cottage in a stunning location. The photos don't do full justice to how nice this place is. Small and still perrect for our little family. Very well equipped. Gorgeous gardens, bbq, outside seating is a plus. Lovrly nature right on your doorstep. Hosts were fab. Recommended!"

"The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags."

"Lovely comfortable cottage with a fabulous view from the lounge balcony with afternoon and evening sun. No personal touch or welcome gift. Front yard full of weeds and plants blocking light into two snug windows. Would have been nice to use that space for a seat outside in the morning sunshine as the kitchen is perfectly placed through the front door. Locals lovely. Lots of pubs and shops. Great places to explore in the area."

"The cottage was lovely, clean and cosy. But the cottage its self is very remote . You need to get your supplies before you get there as there is nothing in the cottage has in a welcome pack . The hot tub was only luke warm and was never checked all weekend. Which wasnt good ! I was expecting it to be hot / warm . The cottage could do with suppling a few essentials like salt , pepper , oil and more than 1 toilet roll for 2 toilets . But the cottage itself was nice, clean and well presented,...

"The cottage and location were lovely. The private parking space was too small and very awkward to access. There was plenty of unrestricted parking in the road. The property was not adequately prepared between bookings. The cleaning did not deal with the overpowering smell of curry powder that lasted till we left."

"Very helpful to have the use of this property for what I wanted to do in the area. It was very useful to have the off-street parking space; just note that if other people park on the opposing verge, then the turning space becomes very tight."

"Great little cottage, definitely remote (but easy to find) and with a lovely wild little garden, albeit it shared with the next door cottage, so care is needed when letting dogs (and children)! in and out. "Swallow Cottage is in a great location for exploring Cumbria and Northumberland. We had a lovely stay in a comfortable and very clean cottage. The owner was fabulous when we had a small issue and responded straight away. We'd definitely stay here again"
