"Cosy, warm and well appointed cottage set in quiet and spacious grounds. The friendly hosts are on hand and able to offer help and advice as needed. The location is good with easy access to nearby towns and to three bird reserves. Overall, one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in over many years.

"Absolutely fabulous. Wouldn't hesitate to re-book - possibly in autumn/winter to take advantage of the RSPB locations nearby. Lovely hosts, Colin and Gina Ash, fabulous, comfortable and spotlessly clean cottage and, oh, so quiet. Set in beautiful gardens with a duck pond to the rear of the decked areas to the cottages (all private). Could have sat out for hours just enjoying the peace and location. Wonderful full size snooker table (have so much to learn!), darts board and books. Can't wait to...

"Nice hotel, the WiFi was a bit patchy in my room but it was right at the end of the corridor. Pool table has seen better days but the fact they had one, and a bar, was an unexpected surprise"
"Booked this hotel for my parents for for a concert at the corn exchange. They were really pleased with their stay. Their room was spacious with lovely decor, the breakfast was great and staff really friendly. Would recommend."
"Room was generally clean and tidy.
Cracked floor tile in bathroom with water stains to the wall.
Showering… no hot water!!! Had to leave the hot tap running over the basin to get any warm water through the shower.
Bedroom was cold, thermostat would not work to increase the warmth of the bedroom.
Breakfast was massively overpriced so walked into town for breakfast.
Bed was comfortable.
Staff friendly."
"Hotel is in a lovely location. When we arrived in the morning there was plenty of spaces in the car park, although by checking in time it was almost full. The staff on reception were very friendly.
Our room was very spacious with 2 double beds and 2 chairs. The only issue I had was with the lighting, there were plenty of lamps but no ceiling lights so the room wasn’t as bright as I would like.
The bar area was lovely and again the staff were very friendly. We were unable to book the breakfast when we booked the room, so chose to go to the Harvester next door instead, which was very nice and good value."
"Absolutely brilliant enjoyed every second of our stay, staff were brilliant and very helpful and polite met all our requirements and needs, car park a additional bonus and lovely breakfast, amazing place to stay perfect location as we were at the castle for a concert.one word to sum this hotel up AMAZING "
"If you want to see night flying typhoons ( we did) or just typhoons! Shearwater 35 is perfect. Basic van for"superior" but very comfortable and very clean and well equipped. And cheap too"
"Check-in was pretty straightforward and good. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was well laid out with the necessary amenities including a refrigerator. Breakfast was good and restaurant menu great especially the 'Quayside burger' special. First time in Boston, and loved it. I've already recommended the hotel to a colleague, who's already stayed there for 2 nights."
"We booked a caravan for three nights during the last May bank holiday; the place was not too busy and we were given a place nearly at the end of the carvan park which meant that it was quiet. Due to the heatwave the place would become quite hot during the day but we had space at the front of it to cool and have a refreshing drink. Despite being small it had everything we needed. I noticed that one of the bathroom had not been cleaned but we used the main one with the shower. We did not use the restaurant or other facilities so I cannot comment on those. Overall it was a relaxing stay."
