"House was bright, spacious and well-equipped. The view was phenomenal, the location was great for sightseeing in the area and it was on a nice, quiet street. The beds were comfortable with clean linens and cozy quilts. Modern and well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The host gave us some great recommendations for the area. We had a couple of questions after arriving and the replies were very prompt and helpful. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Thank you!"

"Convenient to park and shopping. Very nice place, quiet, some nice views of the Tablelands from back deck. Buy groceries in Deer Lake or at a local store with much less stocking. Black Spruce restaurant was good but a bit heavy on sauces - (Cod dinner). Hike up partway or all of Gros Morne trail - just 5 miles or so away. Don't miss Discovery Center - excellent geology displays. And Green Point for interest in the Cambrian/Ordovician boundary (for geology nuts like me). Very good kitchen, beds comfy, all one could ask for."

"The cabin is clean. The owner offered prompt support. Gros Morne National Park Ticket & Entrance is 1 km away. I suggest owner should keep men & women Or Unisex shampoo and shower gel instead of only Men."

"We stayed at Alder House for the Gros Morne Hiking Festival and although the Festival didn’t recommend this area, we found it perfect. It was a 30 minute drive to to the Water’s Edge, Festival Headquarters in Woody Point which was no hardship because it was stunning! We were awestruck just driving in to the Festival. ( plus being close to the Jackladder for a turkey mess and a Day Boil was the bomb). Alder House is absolutely perfect for 3 couples with 3 bedrooms, all queen size beds. It has a fully functional kitchen and the living room was a comfy spot for talking about our adventures. Really nice spot. Thanks Neil. "
