「We were welcomed online and everything went very smoothly. The cottage is located in a very quiet area of a coastal village with rich history. EVERYTHING you need is there, but not always in a form that you might be expecting--NO COMPLAINTS at all, as the accommodations are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged in a (much) older home that is beautifully cared for. We would like to come back to Darien and area, in fact, and would stay here.」

「We had the entire 81-acre property to ourselves (we didn't realize it was deer fly season LOL) and enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in the Rum Runner's Cabin which was immaculately clean throughout, had nice towels and linens, it was a few steps from the boardwalk to Knox Creek Dock and has an interesting history. We were charmed by the antique rum bottles on the shelves and a "Wanted" poster of a bootlegger. Worth noting in case it's a challenge: the bathtub is a clawfoot tub. John made both...
