Fantastic value.
I always stay here when in the area for work.
It’s probably not the fanciest or the most luxurious but it’s always very clean and comfortable, no complaints at all

All staff I came across were really friendly and welcoming. My questions were all answered.
The hotel was delightfully wonky in places. Perfect location and clean.

The location was the main thing for me, being centrally located. This could be an issue at weekends with outside noise, but it wasn't too bad. The hotel looks a bit tired in places, but it is clean.

Parking was easy and we felt safe. Reception gave us a warm welcome. No restaurant or bar available which was a let-down but there were plenty of other eating establishments nearby.
Handy stopover location - close to rail station and near destination the next morning. I was aware there were no catering facilities so used the local Wetherspoons. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment but provides a basic service with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Lovely old building which deserves some TLC - good luck to the owners!

This hotel has been going for a refurbishment recently But it is still nice and clean. I’m sure what to refer it meant is completed it be even better they could do with a fridge and maybe a microwave in the room and also a hairdryer.

Great value for money, staff are warm and welcoming. The entire hotel is being renovated on a shoestring. Fixtures and fittings are low quality. Most rooms have really good, clean showers.
Ideal for workman or a crash pad for a night in Stourbridge. Brilliant central location

Staff really polite and friendly, my partner had to mend the shower head to get a proper shower, the carpets was in a stained condition but the bedding was very clean and so was the shower room, for the price if the accommodation it was great for the overnight stay
The Talbot hotel attractive listed old building in a central good location...
Check in a bit slow....thought they didn't have my reservation.
Room clean, but cold...heater did not work, hardly any amenities, 1 small tablet soap each and 1 small tube of shampoo/conditioner each, no shower gel.

We booked a double room, but were 'upgraded' to a family room, which didn't include a bed big enough for 2 to sleep in - fine with me, though! The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and it was clean. The carpet had slug trails on it and had seen better days. Given the price, it was as expected.
This is our second stay at the Talbot, first was late summer 2024. Atm, the pub part of the hotel is closed and meals were not offered. Local gossip said the hotel was being used for asylum/immigrants, I saw no evidence of this and the clients seemed to be mostly couples and businesses. Dad and I stayed in a twin room, it had a large shower, no bath, desk, tv (not in hotel mode so streaming stick was easy to use), slightly larger than sister’s double. WiFi was good in the room and handled streaming a movie while web/social media browsing. Staff were helpful. Remember to register your car in the terminal at reception and set duration of stay to avoid charges. Only negative point is that there needs to be a towel rail or holder in the bathroom.

A simple hotel in the middle of Stourbridge. Rooms are adequate in size, the bed is comfortable and there's a good shower in the bathroom.
There was a problem with my room but it got sorted quickly and the staff were excellent.
Small changes in the bathroom would help - a shelf above the sink so there's somewhere to put your stuff and similarly a soap dish in the shower would be really useful.
For a cheap room it was clean and comfortable. Bit noisy as we were by the door (that let late night people in and out) but you can’t complain when you pay next to nothing. Excellent value for money. Beds were comfy. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff friendly.

Location in town Center, has been updated to a basic finish. Small rooms bed linen below standard and pillows extremely poor quality. Overall would not stay again.
I’ve stay at this hotel when it had the previous owners. Even know it’s in a middle of having a refurbishment the hotel was extremely clean and tidy, only one problem was the pillows being extremely thin. It was a really nice touch to have a kettle in the room but maybe have spoons instead of wooden sticks. But apart from that it’s all coming along nicely, i definitely prefer the key card instead of an actual key. Me and my partner will be back!
HAD A BIG REFERB SO ROOMS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, THAT SAID MY WINDOW WOULD NOT CLOSE AND IT WAS VERY COLD EVEN WITH A SMALL HEATER ON. VERY NOISEY FAMILY ABOVE MY ROOM, NO FOOD SEVED AT THE MOMENT DUE TO KITCHEN RE-FERB, NO SKY TV AS ADVERTISED. YOU NEEN TO BE IN THE CAR PARK EARLEY DUE TO A LOT OF CONTRACTOR'S VANS BEEN PARKED, IT ALSO CATERS FOR WEFARE FAMLIYS.
Arrived at site, no parking…went into reception had to wait 20 minutes for my key to my room, went into hotel room, the toilet hadn’t been flushed.
Beds were actually okay, room was extremely outdated and not the cleanest, piegons outside windows all night and day, no maintenance outside the property by the looks of it.
Overall not a good experience, I don’t usually leave reviews but this one I had too.
Had to pay for parking 2-3 streets down from the hotel privately.
This was my sister’s room, a double. She reported that the mattress was adequate, room warm. Shower door broke on first use but was fixed while we were out during the day. The room slightly smaller than the twin my dad and I used.
Very disappointed- renovations (not stated until I arrived) meant: no food, no breakfast, no bar. Lovely hotel, and staff (friendly) have their hands tied, but I’d expect advanced warning if I had to organise my own breakfast, especially after arriving late after driving through a storm. A motel.
