「We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it seemed older, and we did not have high hopes. It was clean and seemed like they did some updates. The staff, and we spoke with many, because we always have questions, were all outstanding and helpful. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. 「Beautiful historic property cleverly repurposed into a cozy inn. Our stay was delightful until synth harp music began blaring from the downstairs living room at 8 am. We have never experienced such a rude awakening and discovered it was set up on a Bluetooth speaker downstairs on what seemed to be max volume as we left - including commercials! If this is their way of making sure everyone is out earlier than the stated check out time I can attest it worked, but can’t recommend it for the same...

「The lobby and breakfast area are being renovated so all the pictures of the hotel first floor are fake. When we stayed, everyone had to take the breakfast to your room. The hotel and Expedia should notify guests that there is construction going on. It should NOT be a surprise when you arrive. 」

「Everything about our stay was excellent, but the best part by far was Tyler, the innkeeper. Kind, attentive, excellent communication and an amazing chef. We loved having breakfast with the other guests each morning, sharing delicious food and stories of our respective adventures in the redwoods. The ocean views are incredible and the bed was extremely comfortable. 10/10. 」
