Good location with easy access to the A1. Warm welcome and friendly host. Tea and cake on arrival was a nice touch. Comfy room and good breakfast. Would happily recommend.

Perfect place in the countryside

This is such a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights away from it all. Off the beaten track but within easy reach of so many beautiful, little, North Yorkshire towns. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you needed - handwash, shower gel, hairdryer etc. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a mini, communal fridge on the landing with fresh milk and chilled water available (gel and wipes to sanitize after use) What really made it so wonderful was Kirsty with her cheerful, welcoming greetings, cake on arrival with a pot of Yorkshire tea, beatifully cooked breakfasts and recommendations for places to visit and eat. Nothing was too much trouble and she goes above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic holiday. We absolutely loved it here and will book again in future.

Excellent stay

We have had a most enjoyable couple of days away in North Yorkshire. If you are looking for a covid safe place to stay I would recommend Elmfield House in Arrathorne. Our host Kirsty wore a mask throughout our stay and even used a cloth to pick up the TV remote to show us how it worked. A delicious breakfast with local produce and home made jam with fruits from their garden. Everywhere in the property was spotlessly clean. An unexpected highlight for me was the wool, hand dyed from her own rare breed sheep. Can't wait to start knitting with it.

Highly recommended.

Cannot fault it, we were in the lodge, excellent value for money. Kirsty was a great host, very knowledgeable about the area and things to do and see. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast too. Would highly recommend.

I would recommend this b and b to anyone wanting a break in North Yorkshire and the dales. Kirsty is an excellent hostess and looks after all the guests with a friendly, relaxed and informal attitude Which makes you feel welcome and at home. Excellent amenities and lovely rooms with plenty of space. Nice quiet and peaceful location. Excellent cake!

Greeted with a smile and the offer of tea/coffee and cake! Room was immaculate and well laid out. The surrounding area is beautiful and the facilities in the B&B were second to none. Would recommend the place for a short break or longer stay. Could have happily stayed there longer if time had allowed.

What a beautiful location, very quiet and right in the heart of the countryside. Such a peaceful setting. Comfortable accommodation with all your needs catered for. The bonus was a fresh cake and Milk in the fridge to welcome us. Will definitely be coming back.

Most friendly B&B we have stayed at.

Cannot fault our recent stay. Very friendly and welcomed with a cup of tea and a piece of cake. In a very quiet area which is what we were looking for but within travelling distance of Richmond and Masham. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable with great views of the surrounding countryside. There was a good choice of breakfast which is cooked to order. Looking to return very soon.
