「Staying here is mainly for the location. It needs a huge makeover as far as how old it is with the rusted beams holding up the second and third floors. The dresser and nightstand drawers smell like mildew. The plunger and toilet cleaning brush looked dirty sitting in the bathroom. Staff was helpful, easy check in and parking, not their fault the hotel is old and needs a major facelift. The location is great though and walking distance to the beach and restaurants.」

The location is fantastic, parking is extremely tight, wasn’t very clean, ceiling fans are completely covered in thick dust, super low water pressure in showers, zero communication regarding where and how to check (I only knew because of reviews), and there is no elevator for those who would need it. 「Our only concern, as seniors, was the steep stairs. We were in a downstairs room one night, with stairs down to the first floor. Then we moved to a second floor room, with even steeper stairs. Perhaps a dumb waiter to help with luggage? But the property is lovely, beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service, wonderful staff. Highly recommend!」

I also feel like it should’ve had a small microwave in the room and makeup wipes or makeup towel or something to clean your face with. Nice to have a restaurant on property for ease of dining with my pet. We were just stopping over for a night on our road trip back home and it exceeded my expectations. 」

「We were up all night because the room smelled of paint. The building was undergoing renovations. To combat the smell, we kept all the windows open. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach customer service because it’s automated, and you never speak to a real person. It was the worst experience. I’ve switched to the Heritage hotel, but I can’t say it’s any better. In fact, it’s probably worse. There’s construction scaffolding, and it’s incredibly loud. I’m disappointed with Marriott.」
