"Great hotel, ultra clean and modern. Mainly geared towards a German market, but this isn't an issue, as the hotel is located in the German part of town. Would recommend"

Balearic Islands Vacation Packages

Hop between islands in the western Mediterranean Sea to see world-famous beach resorts, diverse countryside and historical treasures.

The Balearic Islands are where you will find bustling beaches and isolated coves, all-night party resorts and tranquil villages and historical buildings in modern towns. Experience a blend of the simple life and luxury tourism in towns that are favorite destinations for Europeans seeking some fun in the sun. Swim in azure blue seas, tour Gothic monuments, see megalithic structures and dance to some of the best DJs in the world in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.

The archipelago consists of the four main islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and a clutch of smaller islands. These islands experience a temperate climate typical of the Mediterranean and enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine a year. While the beaches may be the major draws of the region, there’s also culture, cuisine and history to discover on the islands.

The largest of the Balearics is Mallorca. Head to the capital, Palma, for its shops, tapas bars, restaurants and historic attractions. Visit its colossal Gothic cathedral, La Seu, and the 14th-century Castle Bellver, just 1.8 miles (3 kilometers) from the city center. Drive to the western side of the island to hike among the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana.

Ibiza has a reputation as a party island, with crowds of youngsters making their annual summer pilgrimage to its clubbing resorts. These resorts include Playa d'en Bossa on the east coast and San Antonio on the west coast. You can dance until the sun comes up and also spend time exploring the island’s beautiful sites. Wander the cobbled streets of Dalt Villa, the historic precinct of Ibiza Town. Descend into the subterranean world of the Can Marça Caves and go horse riding in northern Ibiza at Ibiza Horse Valley.

While on Menorca see megalithic monuments, such as the Navetes and the Taules. Among the attractions on Formentera are the Ses Salines Natural Park and La Mola Lighthouse, which sits on the island's highest point.

To enjoy the beaches, parties, history and natural beauty of the Balearic Islands, fly into airports on Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca. You can also board ferries from several destinations on mainland Spain. Travel between the islands by plane or ferry.
