「It was just lovely. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable and the location was fabulous. The local pub The Dog Inn was lots of fun on a Thursday night as it was quiz night. We will definitely be back as have family local and it’s the perfect place to stay and spend time with them. 」

「Mill cottage is a very cosy and comfortable cottage in a quiet and peaceful village just a pity could not stay longer The cottage was perfectly clean and very well equipped The welcome pack was very much appreciated as we didn’t arrive until late on but Alastair the owner had heating on and outside light on for us arriving Very accommodating host」

「Fabulous cottage within walking distance of beautiful walking trails, historical buildings and landmarks and of course the amazing and friendly community run pub, shop and library. Beautifully presented and appointed cottage with a sun-trap of a garden overlooking glorious rolling countryside. Owner Alex is super responsive and helpful - 100% recommend this lovely home. 「A great cottage to stay. Quality and modern furnishings. Floor heating and two bathrooms were great. Well furnished kitchen and plenty of space. Felt really at home. Initial directions to get there could have been better, but contacted manager by phone and he was waiting for us. Quiet area and secure with locked gate at front. Would recommend.」

「The owners have gone to great efforts to make the place pleasant. The wi-fi is one of the best we have found. Parking was easy and free, and the location just right.」

「We went to stay with friends for a couple of nights to catch up and see more friends nearby. We had a wonderful time. Amy made us feel really welcome through her messages in advance and we really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies she had left for us. The cottage was beautiful, clean, and everything we needed. The log fired hot tub was a real treat and we barely left the cottage the whole time, except to walk round the locks and back. 「We had a really enjoyable stay at Woodpecker Cottage. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and 60th anniversary, there was plenty of room for all 13 family members inside the property and we enjoyed the outside space using all the facilities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The bedrooms/bedding/towels all lovely and clean. We would recommend a stay at this property.」
