  • Home of Freeman Walker, outstanding citizen of early Georgia. Born in Virginia in 1780, he came to Richmond County in his youth and studied law. Valentine Walker´s brigade in 1813. He represented Richmond County in both branches of the State Legislature and represented Georgia in the U. S. Senate. His speech on the Missouri Compromise attracted nation-wide attention. He died in 1827 and is buried in the Walker Cemetery.

What a neat place to stay! I needed a quick, last-minute stop for me and my fur boy, and this spot couldn’t have been more perfect. It was so clean, calming, and beautifully decorated. The kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. Every little detail felt thoughtfully done, and it was just what we needed after a long travel day. My fur boy and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left feeling rested and grateful. Highly recommend!

My partner and I experienced no issues with check-in. The 1 bedroom unit was very clean and comfortable. Amenities included were not just a microwave, but also a full stove, keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, king sized bed, shower, and a washer/dryer. The place felt like a home away from home. If you treasure peace especially at night, this place is a hidden gem. My only complaint about the unit is that I failed to book it for additional days. However, I now know where I will be renting when I return to Augusta in the future. Thank you so much Stephanie and Cashton
