「I have stayed in many hotels around the world and Wishing Tree Boutique and Resort ranks right at the top.
The views are unreal and impossible to recreate. Waking up to that scenery alone makes the stay special.
The staff are outstanding. Warm, welcoming and genuinely happy. Service was spot on throughout, attentive when needed but never intrusive. They struck the perfect balance and gave great local recommendations without ever being pushy.

「+++ Absolutely magnificent place with a wonderful history. The wooden features are beautiful and the bedrooms are outstanding. Wonderful snooker table and fireplaces. 「We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. 「La Pentera is a unique property and it is conveniently located around 30 minutes drive to the entrance of the Udawalawe National Park. Our host is very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond our expectations and making sure we have the best time in the property. The evening walk around the lake area is awesome, and the hammocks, swings and mini rock climb is nice too.
