"Nice location and well maintained property. Great having laundry and a luggage storage room. My biggest issue was the nickel and diming. They can’t decide if they want to be a hotel or a vacation rental, and the blend is annoying, with a needed emphasis on hospitality. We had 4 adults for 5 days, and they didn’t supply enough toilet paper. When we asked for more, they said we had to pay. Our shower leaked heavily and the bathroom was super wet and slippery because the door doesn’t seal properly, and they questioned us asking for more towels and again suggested charging us. They look for every opportunity to upcharge you. I did find Ali to be very nice and accommodating, and he was great when my friend got really sick. Location is great and we loved the layout and the balcony/view."

"As other travelers have noted...if you come from the Republique train station, you may be questioning your decision as you are walking to the hotel. There is a lot of "culture" at that station, depending on the time of day. Just ignore it and keep going. The hotel is lovely and has the sweetest people at the front desk. They helped order our taxi for our trip back to CDG on our return trip home (make sure to order it the day before you need to leave). If you walk toward the Marais district, you'll find lovely restaurants all along the way, but you won't pay Marais district prices for this hotel. The room is very clean and has all the typical amenities of a European hotel (specifically, no washcloths and a shower with no door that gets water everywhere...that's just how the showers are in Europe). Overall, we were so pleased at this location for the price we needed to be at (we needed a room for 3 people). Close to Arts de Métiers, and Republique train stations where you'll need to use the Metro. The breakfast is worth it only if you need to eat early (which we did on our Versailles day...the rest of the days, I would recommend eating elsewhere). It was a true continental breakfast with toast, croissants, and machine coffee. Fine when you're in a pinch, but there are other great breakfast places if you can wait until 7am when they open (specifically, Le Sancerre and Café de la Mairie on Rue de Archives & Rue de Bretagne)."

"Loved the location and neighborhood. Charming and characterful apartment with exposed wooden ceiling beams and French windows opening onto Juliet balconies. There is washing machine but no tumble dryer in this apartment. There is a safe to lock away passports etc which is handy . Overall, great stay and highly recommended."
