While our French was lacking, Martine was very accommodating, friendly, and so helpful. Great restaurants and shoppes nearby. We left Beynac with hopes of returning someday, such a wonderful experience."

"The cottage at Le Maine was absolutely breathtaking! Surrounded by forest and flowers each morning was like waking up in a dream. My husband, baby and I enjoyed early morning walks to the village bakery only 10 minutes away, evening swims in the stunning pool and playing in the garden with the chickens. Catherine and Max are amazing hosts and made us feel very welcomed. Highly recommend!!!"

"The gite was lovely and a lot bigger than we expected, but there were only 4 of us who visited. The gite had everything we needed, and the view was lovely - across the road was a vineyard, but the gite is on a road where, although cars are few and far between, they do drive far too fast. We had a lovely few days at the beginning of our holiday but on the fourth day a taxi drove into us at speed (not near the gite, on the way to Jonzac) and the hire car we were in was flipped over and ended up...

"Lovely staff. Rooms were basic but clean (could use some conditioner and washcloths). Lobby was nice and the pool was a highlight. Perhaps as a wellness resort more bottled or refillable water options could be provided?"

"We stayed in Novotel Bordeaux Lac for 5 days and had a lovely time! Our room was comfortable and clean, the food at the hotel restaurant was very nice, the staff kind and helpful and our 9 year old son also enjoyed the games room which had an XBox and a bar football. Highly recommended!"

"Pros: Fabulous jacuzzi and spa pool! We loved it. All types of jets and bubbles. Room to swim too. Sauna Good tennis court Mini golf Lovely view over the fishing lake Clean comfortable rooms Good food Campsite next door with pool and slide and fab fishing lake. Cons: It's in the middle of nowhere. You need a car to go anywhere. We didn't have one! Menu: Although great food, it's French and if you're fussy/have kids, you may find it an issue. Only one staff member speaks English, so...

"Zuerst das Gute: der Aufenthalt war wunderbar. Sehr nette Gastgeber, wunderschönes Haus in grandioser Umgebung, Ausblick, Pool und Terrasse top. Küche und die anderen Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet, aller Komfort vorhanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Zwei Dinge sind verbesserungswürdig: die Couch hat völlig ausgedient, durchgesessen bis auf das Gestell, die Kissen müsste man immer wieder aufschütteln, was wir uns nicht getraut haben, da man sonst erstickt vor lauter Staub. Und zweitens...
