「We stayed at this beautiful space overnight on our way home and felt warmly welcomed. The place is relatively new and well equipped and tucked away in the town. Our host was wonderful and breakfast was delicious and filling. The supermarket is very close and easy to walk to restaurants and pastry shops nearby. 「Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. 」

「Die Unterkunft war wirklich sehr gut. Luxuriös ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das einzige Manko war, dass der Pool nicht beheizt ist. Somit war er unbrauchbar für uns. Das Wasser war für die Jahreszeit (Oktober) zu kalt zum Baden. Aber laut Betreiber sollen nächstes Jahr ein Teil der Pools mit Wärmepumpen ausgestattet werden. Breakfast bar was delicious with many options. Close walk to beach and main town area, but far enough away to avoid the crowd if you wanted. Great value for the price!」

「The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years.」
