"It’s an older hotel going thru renovations and there was a crew painting the exterior during our stay so there was some noise from them working. The breakfast is more continental but had the powdered scramble eggs and link sausages. The nightly cost was in line with the amenities tho. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff seemed to be wearing multiple hats so sometimes they weren’t at the front desk. The hotel sits right on the highway so you get noise from the semi rigs braking but with the window closed it was quiet. The windows would open to allow for fresh air which I really prefer."

"The location and space were amazing. I just found the communication to be a bit lacking. When I asked a question using the messaging app it was never answered. The listing also stated that there would be a welcome basket for us when we got there and it wasn’t. Over a good experience, but I just wish the communication was heightened and that the promises in the listing were fulfilled."

"Staff was very nice. Property was clean. We arrived late and someone came out and was very nice about late arrival. I know it is 24 hours but small town hotels sometimes are hard to get someone to come up front but they came right up. Breakfast was better than the typical breakfast. We would definitely stay again when in this area."

"If I could give 50 stars I would. Jim and Carmen are the best hosts! Carmen was in contact prior to our stay with helpful info and made sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond when my partner was injured hiking, providing us with cold packs and medical supplies. The cabin was super clean, well decorated and the amenities like dishes and cooking utensils were high quality. The king size bed was very comfy and the two twin beds looked equally cushy. The cabin was very well stocked with everything a traveler might need. Carmen and Jim are friendly and happy to provide info about the area and we even got to go feed the burros at the same time as they did, so we got the local info. We almost felt like we were visiting friends. Their dog, Cooper was a joy, well behaved and sweet as can be. The property is about 20 miles south of Custer, so it's close to Custer State Park, MT. Rushmore, hot springs and Crazy Horse Monument, as well as rock hounding sites. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area, but their property is so nice that just spending time relaxing there is great. We can't wait to come back!!!"
