Akaka Falls State Park

I have stayed here multiple times and have enjoy my stay every time. Only regret is that I need to get dressed when I leave. Bummer.

The staff here was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Due to a booking mix-up, my reservation listed 2 adults instead of 2 adults and 2 kids. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff member made my wife and children wait outside while he spoke to me. He claimed that if he had known children were coming, he would have canceled our reservation entirely. Although he framed letting us stay as a "favor" since we were only there for one night, he forced me to pay an extra $30 per child ($60 total). We didn't request any extra amenities or beds for the kids, but because we had no other options at that hour, I was forced to pay the extra fee. I have traveled extensively with my family, and I have never experienced such terrible customer service.
