"As soon as we arrived & met the lovely Michelle we knew this stay was going to be brilliant she was so helpful & we were allowed into our room early to drop our luggage off. The room was amazing so clean with everything you needed provided (beverages,water,biscuits,toiletries,hairdryer,fan) & the beds were so comfortable we didn’t want to get up😃 breakfast was very good with cereal,fruit & yogurt offered plus juice & hot drinks & a delicious full English. "Budget level hotel. Bit disappointed that Google rate at 3*, but would be surprised with 2 stars. Friendly staff and it's clean but all looks tired and worn & in desperate need of major make over. Painted over damp around window, bottom of bathroom door frame rotting, rust on shower pipe work. Also our room was right alongside main road so quite a bit of noise."

"The hotel is on top of a lovely, vibrant, atmospheric pub (hence some music until late). Very friendly welcome, helpful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the pub. The room a little more basic than expected, our "standard" TV did not work but after some help with the WiFi we could get Neflix etc. Bed was clean and comfy, the shower nice and powerful, bathroom a little on the small side. There was a kitchenette however which was great, with kettle and microwave oven, could be useful if staying...

"We were initially given a room on the first floor, but on returning after going for a meal, we were asked to move, to a room on the ground floor. After five minutes we were asked to move again to the first floor, next to our original room!. The receptionist was very apologetic. We think the bathroom needs updating, it has a shower over the bath, but no hand rails, so getting in and out, can be difficult, as there is nothing to hold on to."
