"Despite its name, the hotel is not in Atocha but Méndez Álvaro Coach Station, so handy for those travelling to Madrid by coach from other Spanish cities or from the airport. The hotel is basic, but the rooms are clean and spacious and have everything you need, including a tiny desk and seat, TV, hangers and a nice bathroom. Very light, modern and minimalistic. It is also very close to the Metro station and you can get to central Madrid by metro within 10-15 mins. I recommend it. "

"We liked almost every thing, except that it seems there was a maintenence job right outside our room that stopped around 1.30 am. Made really difficult to sleep for 2 nights. Also, we didnt find shampoo or soap in the shower (we normally find it in all hostals). Finally, the dinner was only pizza, no more options in the menu. Otll be great to have more options. Other than that, the place is great."

"This charming, historic hotel was immaculate and included stained glass, gorgeous marble and very high ceilings. Small touches like a magnifying mirror and spare blankets showed the owners care. Breakfast was generous, including scrambled eggs. We loved the balcony overlooking La Rambla, but prepare to hear late-night revelry if you are on that side of the building."

"The person at the customer service when we checked in. He checked us early probably knowing that we were very tired and sleepy after a long flight. Most of all he personally came to inform us in the lobby when the room was ready. He also helped us get a taxi. God bless him."

"My family loved our ‘bungalow’ and would recommend Tres Estrellas to anyone who travels to the Gava/Barcelona area. The beach is gorgeous and we saw sea glass and beautiful shells in addition to enjoying the breeze and fun waves. The staff was helpful and efficient, and assisted with transportation. We are so happy we chose Tres Estrella’s for our first part of our trip."

"Overall my nephew and I, who each had single rooms - found the hotel to be wonderful. The atmosphere, location, friendly and competent staff, flexibility, lounge area on top floor and more were all quite appreciated. One thing missing in room is a surface to open luggage. The room is small so perhaps a drop-down sturdy shelf might work. One complaint is that it was impossible for either of us to figure out how to get the fan and/or ac to work. The room needed ventilation when shutters were...

"We Love this hotel! Close to all the attractions, and lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. The restaurant right outside the hotel is fabulous, as well, and we loved sitting on the rooftop terrace at night, with a view of the Cathedral. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable, clean, nice hotel!"
