I decided to try out some hostels for this solo travel trip and I’ve come to the conclusion hostels aren’t really for me, but I would definitely stay at The Outpost again because of the staff. If you enjoy the hostels experience or traveling in a budget, then definitely hit up The Outpost. "

"We traveled all over the Philippines and this was our best hotel. We had our own beautiful cottage, I was able to get a massage everyday, restaurant was very good and the staff so sweet. The entire property is so pretty and romantic. I would love to come back one day. I highly recommend this resort. "

"It’s a little out of the way about a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. But only about 3-5 minutes on a tuk tuk. Staff was great and very helpful. It is on a side street of another side street (going down then up a hill so just be aware for when you come with bags) "

"Great location for a visit to Coron, we stayed for 7 days and enjoyed the whole stay. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful, I will stay here again when I return! "

"The shower floor was always clogged whenever we use the shower, so gross. There was no toilet paper. Location is not good, you’ll have to walk minimum 15minutes to go the center or wait for a tricycle. You‘ll get awaken by the noise of the roosters early in the morning as early as 4 o’clock. Bed makes noise whenever you move, very small space. No foto of the shower because it was filthy."

"They have a 24/7 front desk. Walkable to stores, coffee shops, and travel tour offices. The street is very busy with locals and tourist travelers. It is very easy to stop a tricycle outside the hotel to go to tourist places. "

"The hotel is close to the port where all tours meet at. It’s walking distance to restaurants and bars. Though there were multiple blackouts during the times I stayed. "

"The stay here was spoiled by both Expedia.ca and the management of the hotel. I booked two rooms, same size and same date but was charged double for one of the rooms... on day 4 of our stay came back to room to get key and no key at front desk. Spare key found by staff who opened door and found cleaning staff sleeping soundly on my bed...not a joke joke but funny anyway ..."

"I like that this property is located just outside the chaos of town. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. Air conditioning worked wonderfully in our room. The free breakfast was a nice touch, albeit quite basic. The wifi, which was only available in the lobby, was basically non-existent. The shower had very little hot water. The room had a little bit of a run down vibe, but it was very spacious."

"The staff are friendly but need more confidence/ability to use English. If you have a Filipino in your group they will use Tagalog all the time. You can arrange your airport transfer and any tours with the staff, they are helpful with that. They know the town of Coron, and local area well. There were a couple of issues with the gents toilet seat and taps, which they weren't able to resolve in our week-long stay. "Short walk into Town, there’s a hill to navigate, you can get tricycle to and from town though The pools a blessing, nice to cool off Room was good too and value for money"
