"Besides a leak from the above room that dripped onto my bathroom floor, it was excellent: shampoo, nice towels, firm bed, and the ocean view!!!! Couldn't ask for a better location. Staff are great. Parking for free? A bit of a hike straight uphill (* but i like exploring!)"

Definitely the strangest place I’ve stayed in and wished I’d read the reviews before booking, as I’d booked it in a rush. Stayed in 6bed female dorm, locked with a physical key rather than the normal electric which meant that I wasn’t “allowed” to lock it at night while I slept, which was scary as a solo female traveller bc anyone...

"Really terrible hostel. Feels like an institution instead of a hostel. All common areas are closed so you're just paying for a bed. Breakfast is ok and the staff are very nice and pleasant. Beds are very shaky, no lockers in the rooms, no shelves for the top bunks, 1 outlet for 6 beds. "

"I went with my mother during the centenary celebration of the apparitions at Fatima and wanted to have a real feeling of the town, and not stay at a hotel. Albergue Pereira was a great choice. It is a family-owned guesthouse for many years, and staying there was like going back in time. All the furniture, elevator, room and reception area are all vintage but kept well preserved, clean and cozy (with all the usual toiletries found in a hotel). "The hotel is only a hundred or so metres from the train station, but it is quite quiet because it is on a narrow side street. The staff were very friendly and accommodated my early arrival and allowed me a space to wait an hour after check out time before I headed to the bus station."
