"The staff were great, the location is fab with the town, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The room was big, clean and comfortable and breakfast was a good mix of fruit, pastry, cooked and continental, we couldn’t fault it. My only point for improving would be more water pressure for the shower…, but it was hot."

"Very happy to receive a room upgrade. First time in 40 years of hotel stays. As usual the staff are helpful, polite and friendly. The room was well presented and clean. The chocolates were enjoyed by both of us, thank you. Only small issue is the WiFi was very poor. We're booked in again later this year "

"Very comfortable room and the hotel is in a perfect location to explore York. The fridge in the room was a perfect addition as it meant we could bring some drinks and snacks into the room and keep these chilled. The breakfast was lovely with lots of options for everyone. Also liked being able to help yourself to tea bags/coffee when needed "
