「A simple and modest country village pub with very friendly owners who took great pains to welcome and look after me. Arriving late, they had kept a good supper for me. The bedroom was large, clean and nicely old fashioned. The old church nearby chimed through the night but did not wake me. As I left before breakfast, the landlords left me a sandwich and apple. In no way smart and modern but with a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. 」

「イギリスの宿はこんな感じだろうな、という想像通りの宿でした。良くも悪くも適当です。メインはパブで、宿がおまけで付いているという感じです。アメニティはシャンプー石鹸含め一切ありません。部屋についても、ついたら掃除するからちょっとまってね、と掃除しはじめたくらいです。ただマスターも物凄くいい人でしたし部屋をなぜか？料金変わらず二つにしてくれたりしました。ちなみに、wi-fi有料、イングリッシュブレックファースト無料となっておりますが、wi-fi無料のイングリッシュブレックファーストが有料でした。ま、朝なぜか時間になってもマスターが現れず、朝飯は食べれず鍵と手紙を残して帰りましたが…(⌒-⌒; )」

「Room and bathroom were extremely clean and well kept. Pub is separate from the rooms but about 20 meters walk away and they serve food which is convenient. Very quiet area. Comfy beds. Plenty of parking. Easy drive to Bath from here, took about 25 mins. Complementary tea and coffe sachets with kettle and biscuits. Full length mirror and then another mirror in bathroom and another infront of the desk area. Good size bathroom with well working shower which is nice and hot. 」
