Green King answer the phone with a bloody annoying AI bot, then dont answer when you finally get through!!! Very poor CC , wont be booking again, Hotels.com dont take payment, make you pay on arrival, massive pain in the arse.

Comfy cosy hotel megga

Our stay was excellent the staff we're amazlng comfy cosy hotel food great and town is a five minute walk. My daughter lives in yeovil so this will now become our second home loved our stay will be returning again very soon.

A lovely old building with lots of character. Friendly staff. The room was comfortable and cosy. We were in the old stables block and we found it very quiet.

Great service and location

Good welcome, everything ready. Room was a little rundown with paint pealing off the window and radiator, but it wasnt dirty. Great service though and the cost was appropiate for the room. Nice pub too and convenient location to Yeovil

Overnight weekend stay

Rooms are very dated, but the building is old. Bathroom not the cleanest- shower head black with mould. Staff however were really friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was superb!

The room was very dated, large number of marks on the wallpaper potentially damp marks. Multiple items were broken in the room, including the door handle to the bathroom, toilet paper holder was snapped off the wall and also the hook on the back of the door was also broken off. The shower curtain with yellow on the bottom and the room smelt damp. The double glazing had also blown in the window and the window was locked closed with a piece of wood. Not great at all!! Thankfully it was only a quick visit and purely a bed to sleep in!

Could be better

Staff are very friendly and work well to provide a great customer experience. Sadly the accommodation is very dated and in dire need of refurbishment unless you’re looking for an 80’s style getaway. Noisy floors and thin walls provide for an all night experience of interrupted sleep. Will not look to stay again unless really desperate

We had a superior room, it had 3 cracked window pains, was very hot, we could open 1 window very slightly as we had to jam something in it to keep it open, the general conduit of the room was bated and shabby, bed very uncomfortable. In check out was wasn’t asked about our stay or we would have spoken to someone. Not worth £155 per night

Hotel OK. Restaurant was disgusting. Never again

Hotel side was OK. Restaurant was terrible. Dirty. Dirty glasses and greasy table. Told no space, then second one said tons of space. Bartender could not be bothered. Waitress was in a trance, did not offer drinks or condiments. Napkin stuck to table. Waitress gave up trying to remove it. No water. Glasses had milk rings. Food cold dried up and uneatable. No one to complain to. Waitress and deskstaff had disappeared. When we stood up to leave we had to go to bar to pay. Sorry I disturbed the bartender.

Dîner was great but the room was average with not a single straight angle which is not uncommon in old British pubs but the floor in my room was so slanted it was challenging not to hit a wall in the middle of the night. I think they have tried to redecorate the room at some point but the craftsmanship was poor to say the leat.
