「Great for a quick one night stop. Staff all friendly」

「Unique」

「The outside lights were very bright shining into the room.」

「Good central location with plenty of space in the room and excellent parking. Lightening was insufficient since bedside lights broken or no bulb. Upgrade of interior (one of the 2 rooms) would benefit the property especially for the cost charged.」

「All staff welcoming and unobtrusive. As staying guests we also had a table for the pub food, which was excellent - good selection and different portion sizes. We had a 3-course evening meal and the cooked breakfast. Served quickly - hot and tasty. Coffee served with breakfast was really good.」

「Friendly manager and staff, comfortable room and bed and a great breakfast to top it off. Thank you」

「Lovely clean large room. Great tv with a superb picture. Plenty of tea / coffee and biscuits welcome tray. We were surprised how quiet our sleep was, the pub below was busy but no sound from it. The decoration of the whole venue is incredible with so much to look at. There is a lot of car spaces but the area is very busy so it’s a bit of a search to find one.」

「A wonderful hotel with a rich historical background. I was delighted to be welcomed by such friendly staff. I was also pleased to find slippers provided. I’ve stayed at several hotels in the UK, but this was the first time I’d been offered this service.」

「Lovely place to stay and very welcoming with great restaurant」

「Attending a wedding there. Stayed there for 3 days. Room was clean. Staff were excellent. Good breakfast unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning being downstairs. You had to be careful about leaving the window open, would we stay there again? Yes」

「The breakfast was superb. It was so nice having a breakfast that was individually cooked and delivered to the table hot. The property is old and the floor in my room was at a slight incline. Not a problem at all but I did describe it as being like the house in the film of The Ladykillers - and that is with total affection as I love that film. Ate in the restaurant on one evening - good food and a good price. Would recommend!」

「Great staff, lovely environment and super place to stay.」
