I only stayed 2 nights and was out all day with friends. I wasn’t in a car, didn’t take breakfast in the hotel or evening meal so can only rate the room. It was clean, well appointed and comfortable. An enjoyable stay.

The breakfast was included which was a nice touch and the food was very high quality and fresh. Staff were friendly as was the manager and you get a complimentary cookie from the kitchen on arrival in your room. Very cosy comfortable and spacious rooms in a loverly area. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in all of England staying at this charming inn. The food was outstanding as well as the service and staff. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you want to visit several of the southern Pride and Prejudice movie sites such as Stourhead or Wilson House. Stonehenge is also close by! Great location!

Ideal stop over in lovely village

A very nice welcoming pub/restaurant with rooms. Ideal in winter when windows are closed, as it is next to quite a busy local road. Huge open fireplace, nice staff, excellent breakfast, roast dinner. Setting is lovely, with easy parking and church bells nearby.

From the very first moment to the very last, everything felt genuinely wonderful. We’re surrounded by Michelin starred spots at home, yet The Grosvenor’s food doesn’t just keep up…. it outshines so many of the places on our doorstep. Dinner was beautiful, breakfast was a delight, and the coffee was pure happiness in a cup. Every member of staff was warm and lovely, the bed felt like sinking into a hug, and all the little touches were so thoughtfully and beautifully done. My only complaint was that we couldn’t stay there another night!
