We loved our stay at Walden Retreats. Becky checked us in and was so welcoming and informative of our tent and things to do while we were there. I was worried that the tent would be warm in the first of August, but we kept the shades down during the day and the fans on. My husband and I actually woke up cold in the morning, so we were just fine. I couldn't believe how clean the tent itself was. This was a last minute trip to get away from the cold weather in Dallas. We decided to go, found the cabin and got on the road all in an hour. The cabin was clean (most importantly and not always the case with other properties), ROOMY, quiet, cute and convenient! Just a few minutes from Main Street in FB and not much further from our favorite place, people and music at Johnny Nichols’ Hill Top Cafe. Everything was great! Clean, good housekeeping, free breakfast, courteous staff, pool and hot tub, great location.

We had a good time. The only thing is that we booked this trip to have a spa day and nothing was working in the spa area. The over $300 we paid was not worth it. No sauna, no steam room and no pool, they were are not in working condition. ☹️

Cutest b&b vibe ever. My boyfriend and I stayed and had so much space, felt like our own little home! It was so nice and the bed was extremely comfy. Super convenient and the 290 wine shuttle picks up right across the street. Will be back!!

Beautiful view and atmosphere. Great for couples looking for intimacy away from distractions of urban living.

Great place

The grounds were amazing!!! So relaxing. The room was spacious. Perfect for a girls weekend. Location was great for some day trips to Enchanted Rock and Wimberly. Shopping and food so close by. Definitely going back soon.

This place is amazing. The most at home and at ease I have ever felt travelling. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Check in was very easy and convenient. Barbara and Henry are very accommodating and extremely friendly. The location is perfect, just outside of town in a quiet hideaway. We loved the European styled breakfast, and not having a tv was a welcomed distraction, the wine and chocolate were a perfect welcome. I will definitely visit again. Thank you

Extremely clean. Loved the rooftop sitting area. We were so happy to have a hot tub that was actually hot. There does need to be a step for entry. It was a bit difficult for me to get in. It would also be nice to have path lights. It was a very dark walk to the place at night. There is no tv, but that's ok because we were there only one night. We would definitely go back. It is a beautiful, secluded property very close to downtown. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Quick trip to Fredericksburg for a wedding. Hotel very nicely updated. Large room with king sized bed overlooking the pretty pool area. Our room was up front near the lobby but we didn't hear much lobby noise at all. Just the smell of coffee wafting into our room the next morning which was amazing!

The bed was excellent I got a good nights sleep. I live a few towns over from Fredericksburg and I was working the quilt show that my guild puts on every two years. It was easier for me to stay in Fredericksburg than travel to and from home each day. I like this hotel because they have a breakfast every day.

Great next time I will get the bigger one. It was so nice to hang out in the hot tub and watch the deer!
