From the front door you have walks across the moors, with a seating area outside to watch the sun go down with a large glass of wine, a welcoming friendly pub just over the road as well as a supermarket, deli, and fine dining pub also in the village.
Stepping inside this 18th-century cottage you are welcomed into a really charming and cosy open plan living space. The wood burner will ensure your nights are atmospheric, as you unwind on the sofa in the soft glow from the flames. There is a dining table for two, as well as a well-stocked kitchen, perfect for creating meals for your loved one. With beamed ceilings, beautiful locally inspirated artwork adorning the walls as well as lots of thoughtful touches, this is a really welcoming home from home. Upstairs you have the bedroom, with an en-suite and powerful shower.
The two pubs in the village are fantastic, one across the road being very family and dog friendly, and the other also in the village near the small train station, in the Michelin guide and the food is superb. There is everything in the village you could possibly want, with even the small station to take you through Heartbeat country, Pickering or to Whitby. Just park up the car and enjoy not driving for the time of your stay.
