"Booked Brook Hall for a stag weekend of 12 guys, which Edward was happy to accommodate. It was a fantastic base while we spent most of our time out and about in York (20 - 30 minutes away) and Leeds (30 - 40 minutes away). "Went direct to the hotel from Thirsk, and arrived at 10.30 am. The receptionist was very polite and let us store our cases until we could check in at 3pm. Easy check-in, and had a river facing room on the third floor. Beautiful room, and great bathroom ( the shower was a drencher but there was a shower cap) and lovely view. Blackout curtains and spacious with enough coat hangers for our stay. This is the second time we have stopped and may be tempted to make it a regular yearly hotel as everywhere was exceptionally clean, with a nice smell. Central enough for walking from the train station and close to the town centre."

"Excellent location, just a short 10 minutes walk into town. Secure car park, although costs £17 per day. Good size room, although found the separate toilet a little strange that took some getting used to. Fabulous continental breakfast that can be ordered when booking your room."
