"The hotel was exceptional , the rooms were amazing and the food was 5star . The only issue we have is the manner that the head or I presume the head of service in the breakfast restaurant spoke to her staff . She in our view needs to put on a course for man management. I have to say if we had been spoken too the way she addressed her staff we would have walked out . She was the only let down in the whole of the hotel . "

"Really enjoyed it, room was nice and breakfast was very good as well. Had afternoon sandwiches at the Brassiere and then ate at the 1851 in the evening. Wine cellar bar was very nice as well. Will visit again. "

"Warm, lovely sized rooms, great service, nice biccies, parking, the joy of sleeping in a breathing historic building. Full of history, charm and character in the charming Grade 1 listed building! 3rd time I’ve been and will happily becoming again when In Shrewsbury. Close to town, pubs, the river, shops and the city centre. Even Charles Dickens stayed her many MANY years ago!"
