"What a terrific 2 night stay we enjoyed. Have been coming here, typically in September to enjoy quieter beaches and warmer Lake Michigan temps! From our check-in with Ryan, a familiar face over the years, to new meets with Jen from housekeeping who could not have made us feel more welcome, and Nathan in Planks restaurant bar who guided us in menu choices, it was our most enjoyable stay yet! Rooms facing the harbor are worth the small upgrade if available. Looking forward to visiting again, hopefully quite soon. Oh, and maintenance man who worked at the pool/hot tub area was also kind and capable. The staff rocks at the Inn at Harbor Shores. Thanks for making for a great stay."

"Everything went pretty well with our stay! It was just me and my sister and this felt like a very safe hotel. The hotel was pretty clean. My sister did see that there was some holes in her bedsheets, but I’m sure that was just a one off thing. The breakfast in the morning was good, they have a waffle maker and a couple of hot options along with your standard hotel breakfast stuff, like bagels and cereal and fruit. Parking was super easy and available at the hotel so there was no problems there. We didn’t use any other amenities so I can’t speak for the pool or the gym. A very nice stay overall!!"

"Great choice for a stay in New Buffalo. The hotel is a little dated but very well kept. It was clean, comfortable, and had great amenities. Enjoyed the new machine which brews fresh ground coffee all day. Breakfast was typical but had many very good choices. Staff was helpful. We’d definitely stay there again."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Amway Grand Plaza overall. The location is fantastic, and having so many excellent restaurants and bars right inside the hotel is a huge plus. We had dinner at Wolfgang Puck and MDRD during our stay, and both were absolutely amazing. MDRD in particular made for a memorable evening and was one of the highlights of our weekend. Where the hotel fell short was the condition of the guest room and portions of the property beyond the beautiful main lobby. For a hotel of this caliber and price point, the rooms definitely feel dated and in need of some attention. We had drawers that would not stay closed, areas of wallpaper that were peeling, and some finishes that simply looked tired. Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the exterior windows in the tower. We specifically paid for a room with a river view, but the windows were extremely dirty, which really took away from something we paid extra to enjoy. There is a lot to love about the Amway Grand—the location, atmosphere, restaurants, bars, and overall convenience are excellent. We would stay again, but the guest rooms and tower windows need some attention to bring the accommodations up to the same standard as the hotel’s impressive public spaces and dining experiences."
