「Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Welcoming lobby, very nice complementary breakfast and clean rooms. Great value for the price.」

「Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Not much for irons and ironing boards is my only "complaint" that really isn't a complaint. Nice place for an older hotel.」

「Quiet and comfortable place. Truly historical mansion yet maintained beautifully with the exquisite furnitures. Richard, the owner, is a super kind guy. We stayed 8 nights and enjoyed meeting many other guests from China, Colombia, California, Chicago and Sri Lanka. Breakfast with them was awesome!」

「Upstairs in a remodelled log cabin in remote area. Clean/comfy bed; good HVAC; full frig; plenty of room (bedroom, kitchen, living room, bath); small shower space; needs more attention to detail as there were some issues (but not deal breakers). Overall, 4 out of 5.」

「Realized how dirty floor was when i dropped earring. Popcorn in corners of floor. I took pictures. Way toooo expensive for quality of room. Small, old, needs, updating badly. Would not recommend this room to anyone. So overpriced for quality of room. 」

「Wonderful spot to chill. Common outdoor area had bags, fire pits, grills. Nice spot to meet and chat with other guests. Loved being able to just walk to dock and fish. Super relaxing and peaceful spot to stay.」

「Great place as advertised!」

「Nice clean property and friendly hosts. My only reason for. GOOD rating is my misunderstanding of the layout, we were up stairs and the living area downstairs. Not keen on stairs at our age. The thermostat was owned controlled and not located in our lodging area so things heated up during the day making it uncomfortable in the evenings. The owners did provide fans. I would recommend ceiling fans and maybe some split air units.」

「It was a amazing experience great help from the owners would definitely stay there again」

「The stay was enjoyable, The manger was a complete joy. She did everything to make the stay enjoyable..」

「Lovely historic hotel with modern amenities in the heart of a small town on the river front. Once checked in I could have all of my needs met by foot! A nice brewery, restaurants and the river front all within a mile. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever enjoyed in a hotel. Hours are spotty, but I did get to enjoy both the basement Speakeasy as well as the dining room for breakfast. Wonderful stay overall.」

「This place is absolutely beautiful. Set right to the falls in Independence. I wish I had taken my morning coffee outside to the private overlook of the falls, but inside was perfect too」

「This is a very interesting, well-maintained home. There are fine decorating details appropriate to this vintage home. There are many items for guest comfort.」

「We had a great stay here. The house had more than enough room and had everything we needed. Communications for the host were timely and accurate. Check in was super easy. Would stay again!」

「Perfect location in Alma. Rooms were nice. I would stay here again.」

「Bathroom was a bit smaller than it looked in pictures. Room was clean. Twin bed was uncomfortable for me.」
