The location and staff are great. Enjoyed the speakeasy and the dining room. Bed was comfortable. Overall, the place could use a major infusion of cash and remodelling.

Great Experience
Great location for walking to US Bank Stadium or up a few blocks for restaurants, Target Center, shopping. I enjoyed the character of the apartment and the building. Internet works well. Having a few cokes and water in the fridge was a helpful touch the owner provided. Speaking of the owner, Chris is very helpful and goes above and beyond to provide great service. He and his wife help serve their community and it's fun to do business with people who give back. A+ all around.

Rough entrance, Great interior!
Upon arriving at the address, we were hesitant once opening the first door. It certainly resembles downtown apartments. Once entering the studio apartment, everything was tidy with a pleasant atmosphere provided by the lights left on! The refrigerator was stocked with drinks. No cable, but we were able to relax by watching from the Roku in the evening. The location is great and very close to everything downtown!

Funky and pleasant
Historic building, large bedroom, well appointed kitchenette with some spices and beverages and such to make it a comfortable stay, vintage bathtub with shower, good location near nightlife and convention center. Quiet place, clean, though a bit vintage in the feel for those used to a hotel experience. Would definitely stay there again!

I love this studio apartment
We want to thank Chris for an enjoyable stay at this wonderful studio apartment. My husband and I loved the building as well as the updated but still kept originally charming apartment. It was in such a nice location, we walked to see the Vikings Stadium, walked to an art festival downtown, and love that a CVS was just a block away. The neighbors were quiet and very friendly when we met one in the hallway. We recommend this studio apartment to a couple or single person who wants a fun stay when they come to Minneapolis.

Not the Ritz, But...
Chris's property is in a very old property, and as such, is not modern or glitzy. That being said, it is a wonderfully comfortable space to stay. Chris makes every attempt, from initial communication to amenities, to ensure a pleasant stay. Property is less than 10 minute walk to central city and light rail transportation. It was frigid during our visit, and returning to the cozy space was welcome. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen fully equipped. Clawfoot tub shower could present a challenge to someone with mobility issues. Loved our stay, and would definitely stay again. Thanks, Chris

Perfect Downtown Location
We stayed here for a Vikings game. It was perfect walking distance to many restaurants....and of course, the stadium!
Very glad we had free parking in the back of the building too! Chris was very helpful in checking in with us to make sure everything was good.
Only inconvenience was the bathroom and the shower set up. (Maybe because i was 6 months pregnant, but it was not very comfortable). But understandable since it is such a historic building.
Overall, great stay, can't beat the location!

Beautiful Studio, Convenient Location
I originally booked this studio apartment based on the affordable price and the convenient location. However, upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the unit is. The space is small - similar to a hotel room with the addition of a small kitchen. But the furnishings, layout, and historic space add a depth of character that made me feel right at home.
The location is excellent. I was able to take the light rail (blue line) from the airport to the US Bank Stadium station, which is a few minutes walk from the apartment. That evening I walked west a few blocks and found a delicious Indian restaurant. There were numerous other eating options in close proximity. The next day, I walked back to the US Bank Stadium station and took the light rail (green line) to downtown St Paul to explore the other Twin City.
The space itself was delightful. I grew up in historic homes and apartments in MN, but have lived in newer apartments in TX for the last 4 years. Walking up to this historic brownstone, opening the heavy wood front door, and seeing the charming historic details (including a clawfoot tub and an exposed pipe running floor-to-ceiling) made me feel right at home. The furnishings were simple but inviting. The color palette was light and muted, making the room feel larger than it is. There is a comfortable armchair and a small sitting table with two chairs. The layout and minimalist furniture means there's plenty of clearances space for moving around, but just enough furniture for practical living.
I didn't use the stove, but there are pots and pans for cooking if so inclined. The fridge was well stocked with sodas, sparkling water, and bottled water. There was also some fruit and small snack bags. When I visited, it was hot outside, but the room was kept at a very comfortable temperature with a window A/C unit. My only complaint - and it's fairly small - is that there was a decent amount of light in the room at night, even with the curtains drawn. There must be a light right outside the windows, so there's not a lot that can be done about this.
Chris, the owner, was very attentive despite being out of town when I visited. I texted him when we arrived, he asked if everything looked OK, and he checked in periodically to make sure we had no issues or complaints. There is also a caretaker living in the building who was available if there were problems.
Overall, this was an excellent place to stay, I'd certainly return.
