「Everything was quite nice!」

「Rooms smelled like a wet dog, other than that is was a fantastic stay, staff was not only courteous, and polite , they were outwardly friendly. 」

「The hotel is near Charlestown casino and racetrack, but not close enough to have noises from the activity there bother us. We could see the track in the distance. The gym was adequate and the free morning breakfasts were great. During the week they even had brown bag snack packs you could take with fruit, Peanutbutter and jelly, small bagel and small bottle of water. That was an unexpected treat. 」

「It was great! Staff was very accommodating considering I was booked ahead at Mardi Gra for my moms funeral and had called to let them know I’d be arriving late but did in fact still want my room and when I arrived hours before I had to be at the event they didn’t have my room and there was literally not 10 cars in the whole parking lot and the hateful girl at the desk said the rooms weren’t available or clean until 3!pm even tho I had called and the note was supposed to be in the computer…...

「We love staying in the lodge because of the balcony. But talk about filthy… You could write your name on all the furniture in the dust. No cups in the bathroom, no regular coffee, one coffee cup. But the staff is phenomenal. But nowhere to eat anything decent after 8 PM. The sports bar says they’re open till 10 but they don’t say there’s no food after eight. They have raised the rates quite a bit, but we still like coming here cause it’s convenient to our property two hours away. 」
