「The hotel is absolutely lovely -- the staff were all kind and professional. We did ask about getting a different room that wasn't on the first floor in a dark corner...but the room was so cute we eventually didn't care. But if you book with a third party -- such as Expedia -- they won't upgrade or accommodate requests. 」

「Had a great stay! Location is extremely convenient for the beach and Ventura Main St. This will be our go to stay for a quick weekend getaway.」

「Room was quite nice; the location was great, right next to the beach. The sound of ocean waves crashing is amazing; the sound of roaring traffic from the freeway is not amazing. Also, during our stay, the hotel was doing plumbing repairs, so water was intermittent. 」

「We were pleased with our stay at the Viking Motel . Check-in at 8 pm was quick and simple. The room was very clean and had tile floors throughout. The king bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. Having a full kitchen was a bonus, even though we did not cook, but just had breakfast from the grocery store. This is an older property, but it has been updated better than many older places we have stayed.」

「Terrible stay. Dirty toilet as soon as I walked in. No air conditioning, wifi went out,no housekeeping, hidden fees. False advertisement, horrible. 」
