A new on the beach hotel in Tulum.

I had very good staying in the hotel. Stuffs are full of kindness and friendly. There is only one restaurant in hotel. Mexican food was awesome! I could see wonderful starry sky at night. I dare say to hotel, please put dust box in the room.

I took a solo trip and had a great stay at Hotelito Azul. The property is beautiful and has a very natural, tranquil vibe that makes it easy to relax and unwind. The design blends really nicely with the surroundings, and everything feels calm and intentional. Loved that it didn’t feel commercialized, but instead felt personal and homie. The atmosphere was definitely a highlight—peaceful, surrounded by greenery, and access to the ocean. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy a slower pace. I didn’t even need to leave the hotel, as outside companies were welcomed to come and provide services to me, like a massage, right in the privacy of my room. Staff were extremely friendly, kind, and helpful when needed. Especially a young man named Jonathan that works at the lunch/dinner restaurant on site. I even met friendly stray fur babies that like to stay at the hotel. As far as amenities, I did use the gym, which was very nice and good machines/accessories to use. The only small downside for me was the jacuzzi—it looks great, but it’s not heated, so I didn’t end up using it. Overall, a really lovely stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, nature-inspired getaway. It’s even walking distance to the hotel zone, with restaurants, stores, etc, if you are someone looking to also experience Tulum outside of this wonderful hotel. I know I’ll be staying there again.

I was disappointed with what the hotel had to offer in terms of amenities. Everywhere outside the furniture was in poor condition, with uncomfortable seats, especially on the roof. Unfortunately, the beaches were covered in seaweed, though that is not anybody's fault. Due to the condition of the furniture, we didn't feel comfortable relaxing on the roof terrace, so we didn't swim on the property at all. The furniture in the rooms themselves were in great condition, however. The staff was lovely and communicative. The rooms were especially clean, thanks to Griselda. The QR code entry system sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. I'm not sure what the difference was. Most of the time we ended up using the key card they provided.

This place is amazing, staff food and location, Griselda was the best very professional and friendly person, very attentive, but overall all the staff made is feel welcome, the food at both restaurants was delicious a bit pricey but worth it, the shrimp tacos were the best. Unfortunately it looks like the place is under renovations by the pool area so we weren’t able to really enjoy the pool but this place deserves a 5 stars and I can’t wait to be back l.

The staff and accommodations were lovely. The private beach at Hotelito Azul and our beachfront suite were the highlights of our stay. Crisalaide and Karen do a wonderful job keeping the guests well taken care of. We will be back soon!!

Absolutely loved our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and answered questions promptly. Griselda (housekeeping) was a joy. Singing and making sure every detail was covered. Planning on a return visit in the Fall.

This property uses a system of code bar to enter the property since there is no staff after 6pm. The code bar was sent to my phone but never worked. I had to call the security guard every night to be able to enter and jump the gate in the day time to enter. Every day in the morning the staff recheck the code bar but it never worked. The parking is located 400 meters from the property and across the street. The gate is always closed and locked down. Every time I needed to park my car, which occurred at least two times a day, I had to leave it in front the gate walk to the hotel front desk or call the security. Someone would then walk back with me and unlock the parking gate. One day a police man came to inquire why I had left my car in front of the gate! I explained him why he was not pleased! This is an embarrassing situation no one wants on a vacation. Every time I needed to go out using my car someone had to come with me to unlock the gate. This was very enoying and made my stay there unpleasant. The roof top pool and lounge which was displayed in the pictures was closed for repairs. This was a disappointment since this was one of the factors that attracted us to that hotel! I would never reserve that place again.

I visited in March (which I think is was a quieter time of year in Tulum) looking for a relaxing place to unwind. Hotelito Azul was EXACTLY what I hoped it would be. The property (including the beach) is absolutely beautiful, and my room was lovely, clean, and well air-conditioned, with its own hammock on the private balcony. The vibe was completely relaxed and "tranquillo," and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. In particular, Carin at the front desk and Jorge at Agave made sure that we had everything we needed. And a special thank you to Griselda, who kept my room perfectly clean and was super friendly and welcoming!

Hotelito Azul is NOT a nice hotel in any regards. The rooms are dated and have a musty smell to them with old, torn curtains on the windows. There is a very small area to hang a few clothes but not closet or any other place to store clothes. The website pictures are deceiving as the room looked great online but was not nearly as nice in reality. Their policy states that they will change the bed linens every third day, and after my 4th night sleeping there I had to ask them to change my bed linens, which they failed to do! There is no one onsite at the hotel to assist with anything before 10 am or past 6 pm - everything is done via WhatsApp and the responses are boiler plate and do not provide any real service. The roof pool which looks great on their website, is in fact, not nice at all. It was very small, unkempt and was not operational while I was there. Reservations need to be made in advance to use the gym, which makes ease of using it challenging and the gym does not have fans or AC, which makes it uncomfortable to work out in the hot/humid climate. The restaurants onsite are grossly overpriced - with a cup of coffee costing over $7 and a basic cocktail in the $22-24 range. The property, service and ambiance do not warrant these prices. Entry into the hotel is challenging off the street - where you need to use a QR code to gain entrance via a turnstile and then a door that goes into a narrow "alley" to enter the property. It's not convenient or very safe.

everything was perfect! rooms are spotless, beach and sun chairs are wonderful, the property is gorgeous and clean. we had the best time thank you hotelito azul! all the people are so helpful too and generous. we loved everyone!
