"When I take the night train to Trang I always stay at Thumrin because it is big enough to always have a room available for early check-in. Decor and furnishings a little long in the tooth but who cares at this price. Corner rooms have nice view but all the windows can challenge the air-con."

About 400M from the train station, this "hostel" is definitely more like a homestay than anything else. Run by a lovely family, the property is well maintained and super clean and surprisingly well beyond what you would get for this price normally.

"I am an elder and stairs are a bit difficult for me. There is no elevator but I was so impressed with how the very kind staff carried my bags upstairs and helped me figure out how to order food from a local restaurant.
