"Clean, comfortable and close to shopping district. Rooms are small but come with an excellent private bath. I stayed here 15 years ago and remember liking it more than the fancy $300 a night hotel room paid for by my employer for work nights. Now, if you need space or are traveling with children I probably wouldn't book but it is easily the best value for a comfortable room in all of Japan in my opinion. "

"The receptionist was very kind, and helpful. We were able to buy detergent at the front, and wash our clothes easily. The room was compact, and had a small desk to use if needed. They have a wall of recommended restaurants in the area which is very helpful. Overall the experience was great."

"I had an enjoyable stay at this hostel in Tokyo! Although I shared the room with 15 other people, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and tidy, which made me feel very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The surrounding area is extremely convenient, offering easy access to transportation and numerous nearby facilities. "My 2 nights stay was terrible because I had a very big quarrel with another guest; was allotted a bed in the female room by a woman named Nana;the first night was fine but on the second night, came back from late night work, was tired and I just needed a good night sleep but as I went to my allotted bed,a Chinese guest came in and started shouting and screaming loudly at me,saying that was her bed;there was no staff member to solve the issue; had the worst experience in my entire life"

"What an excellent stay at the APA Rygoku Eki! Our 1st time at an APA hotel. Twin room was compact but very functional. Space under the bed for storing suitcases. Bathroom is tight, but efficient. Great showerhead! Also liked the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Refills everyday of towels, toothpaste, cups/coffee. Very quiet too. We barely heard anyone for our whole 5nite stay. Six elevators get busy at certain times, but never too much of an issue. Beds were very comfy & A/C worked great. Had a Lawson’s in the hotel which was handy for snacks/dinner/breakfast/drinks. Only a few minutes stroll to Rygoku Station and right beside the sumo wrestling arena. A couple of km’s walk from Senso-ji Temple, so that was handy."

"It’s my first time to Japan and was overwhelmed where to stay after hearing so many great suggestions. After much researching, I knew I wanted to stay in Asakusa area for the charm and location. I couldn’t decide on whether Airbnb or hotel. Richmond Premier Hotel caught my attention and after much consideration, I thought why not. It was the best decision I made for staying the 5 nights at this hotel. The hotel was very modern, clean, spacious, friendly and helpful staff, close to train station, attractions and unlimted food stalls. Extra bonus…Donki is right around the corner. During my initial booking, I did book another 2 nights after doing 5 days in Osaka. This hotel is truly amazing and I look forward staying back here when I return back to Japan! "
