Host was lovely and accommodating. Booking last minute urgent option for 4 adults, 2 children and a dog, not easy to find in Toowoomba, so I was grateful when I saw this was available. However a room has been sectioned off (possibly built in garage) on the side of the house, that is rented separately. The check in details stated that we would be required to share the yard, car port and laundry with the separately rented space; since double checking, the listing does NOT state this. The other guests also had 2 dogs, which I wasn't made aware of, we were given no guideline about who used the yard when, only a comment made about my dog not disturbing the other renters. At the time I thought they were implying she would bark all the time. I personally don't think it is safe to have a shared yard for two different tenants who indicate as both travelling with dogs and then also for children to be present. I have attached a picture of the ceiling in the king bedroom during our stay. The bed in this room has a big permanent dip/hole on one side and the room is the only internal access to the back yard. It was cold during our stay and we were appreciative of the wood heater and provisions to use it, however I think for a holiday rental a basic fire guard and a replacement knob for the flue shut down lever would be appreciated by future travellers. The heater is right next to the entrance door, so easy to bump on way past. I understand get what you pay for, but basic safety :(
