「Cottage very comfortable and well furnished. Plently of plug points for chargers, hairdryers, etc. Hosts, Pam and Richard, were very friendly and helpful. Ideal position for visiting York, walking in the Wolds or visiting the coast.」

「Great location for travel into York, Knaresborough and Harrogate, the cottage had a proper rustic feel to it and was very cosy whilst remaining practical. The owners were friendly and didn’t mind us going to visit their farm animals each morning, llamas, goats, ponies etc, which was a lovely touch. 」

「Really lovely property and enough space for 5 of us. Everything was as described and clean. We had a fabulous 4 night stay and a great location. It was easy to get to York, McArthur Glen and Scarborough. We would definitely return, the owners are lovely and the bonus, a little farm shop.」

「This was our second stay here for the three of us plus dog. Located near the castle and overlooking the railway, it’s ideally placed. Town is a two minute walk and, although parking is a street away, there was always free spaces. You’ll need reversing skills to get to the property to unload, as the house is on a narrow one way road, with no parking. The property is ideal for four, with two bathrooms and a decent sized kitchen/dining/living area. Happy to say, we’ll look for the property the next...
