Here we are in the "Navel of the World", and no sign of lint :) This was a sacred place for the Rapa Nui, who believed that their founding figure, Hotu Matura, first arrived at a nearby beach with this stone in tow. It has strange magnetic properties, and it's smooth surface and large size help it stand out among the porous volcanic rocks. Scientific testing, however, has proven that the rock is of local origin.
