A wonderful stay!
Our stay was a well needed break, and with the lovely weather, it meant we really got to enjoy the decking area and hot tub!
The lodge was so clean and had all the amenities you could hope for, they also left us a couple of beers from the brewery which went down a treat as we enjoyed the sunshine!
The location is fantastic and we loved the fact we could walk across to the brewery for something to eat and retreat back to our lodge for the evening! The food and service was excellent.
Overall a beautiful lodge in a wonderful location and we will certainly be recommending the stay to friends and family.

Hot tub
Just go you won’t be disappointed… hot tub great beer & the kind of food to have with a beer. The wife loved the hot tub I think it’s the bubbles a jets get her a bit excitable. Lucky for me
Will definitely return soon.

A fabulous getaway
We booked this last minute to escape the world for 2 nights and it really was a fabulous find!
The lodge was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, the hot tub was fabulous too.
We did go into the brewery for a drink and it was a great atmosphere and the drinks were nice, staff really welcoming and the takeaway pizzas yummy!
We will definitely return
Just one negative, the shower started hot fur a few seconds but then was barely warm

Amazing break away
We stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. It was a perfect break away which provided some much needed headspace. The accommodation was very comfortable and the hot tub was a lovely added bonus. One of the radiators didn’t work (the one in the main living area) and we did report it but never heard anything back. We were able to manage but it left the bedroom warmer than we would have liked.

2 nights in Goldings
Although we enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the little touches such as the local beers in the fridge, there were a few things that could have been better.
The WiFi hardly worked, which meant we couldn’t really use the TV as intended and had to rely on our own phones and mobile data to watch anything. It would also have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom, as the only option was to watch in the lounge — unfortunately the sofa there was extremely uncomfortable, to the point that we both ended up with backache. We even tried using it as a sofa bed to watch TV from, but it still wasn’t comfortable.
On arrival, we also had to brush down all the fencing around the hot tub because it was covered in spider webs. It was quite bad, and while we didn’t mind tidying a little, we feel this should have been done before our arrival.
We did enjoy our stay we just felt some small improvements could have made it better.
Lovely property so clean great restaurant on site with delicious food and drink and such friendly and helpful staff we had such a relaxing weekend. hot tub was a bonus with lovely views of the countryside a real gem of a property

Brilliant
We had a lovely weekend staying in Goldings at McCanns brewery.
The accommodation was very comfortable and modern, with lots of thoughtful touches (like fresh juice and milk). It was really dog friendly, with a special bed, towels and bowls. Shower a bit basic compared to the standard of finish elsewhere and WIFI patchy, but didn’t detract from an overall lovely stay.
The taproom on site had a great selection of nice beer, and the food was decent.
It was really peaceful and we loved using the hot tub to look at the stars which were great here. Overall the location was a great base to explore the walks and pubs and lovely surroundings.

Switch the light on / I have !
We thought Goldings was a lovely cottage in a lovely location but not without its faults, mainly the lighting which was awful, gloomy and only one light for a double bed, which was ridiculously bright ! Would be nice to provide a few coat hangers. We had a dog with us who we kept on a lead but the cottage to our left had a dog which they let wander over to grass in front of ours to do its business, twice this happened in two days,I got the feeling they only cleared it because they saw us, so I think maybe a small area fenced off would be good, putting that aside the cottage was warm, clean, tidy and comfortable. Very peaceful but it was out of season.
