It is clean and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing break.Peaceful and yet not far from great pubs snd restaurants.Such a good place to stay that we will return."

"A super cottage with everything you could want for a relaxing break. The location is great, with amazing views across the tarn. Most people look at the tarn rather than the cottage, so you don’t feel like you are in a goldfish bowl."

"The apartment was very convenient and provided us with everything we needed. We would have liked check in instructions a bit earlier. Better towels would have been nice. On the whole a good comfortable stay."

"This was our second visit and it was everything we were expecting. Extremely well appointed accommodation. Very well equipped and in beautiful surroundings. For a relaxing break it is hard to beat. Plenty of walks if the weather is kind. Good food and drink at the pubs in Castle Carrock and Talkin, plus the golf club which welcomes visitors, or the cafe at the end of the tarn. Highly recommended"

"Beautiful, warm & cosy cottage with everything there that you need. A lovely woodburner in the lounge, kept us warm & toastie. Very spacious accommodation, very clean. Met by owner on arrival who pointed us in the right direction for supplies etc . We took the 2 dogs with us and enjoyed some lovely walks in the woods nearby, only a few minutes drive away . Would definitely be returning, and highly recommend to others who want a chilled break. "
