「AWFUL STAY, ABSOLUTE HOVEL OF A PLACE Overall a very disappointing stay. Check in is confusing as the address given on Expedia isn’t the place you get the keys from. When getting to the other hotel, there was a reception closed sign (just after 4pm) at the desk and a number to phone. Not ideal when guests are to be expecting to check in. 「Modern, clean, full of amenities, breakfast tray and fresh fruit was provided, clear instructions, free private parking (off street). We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything you need and more. The only critique we have is that there was way too much fragrance in the apartment. Multiple air fresheners. When we took our clothes out at our next stay the smell was very strong. 」

We needed somewhere to stay in Helmsdale while we waited to get the keys to our new property, and needed it to have internet speed fast enough that my husband (a programmer) could work. This comfortable cottage had everything we needed! The kitchen was well-equipped, and meant we didn't have to eat out 3 meals a day. (Which gets old, really quickly for me.)
