If you are passionate about design and interiors this Insta-worthy space will have you snapping and sharing! It's unique, colourful, quirky, spacious and private and it's all about DESIGN!

"Chinoiserie" is a discrete space located within a larger, heritage-listed Katoomba home. It is completely, exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Your host will check you in then leave you to be transported to the delights of India, Morocco, Bohemia and 19th Century Shanghai. Wherever your imagination takes you, you will be whisked away by this jewel box of exotic dreams. Think shimmering silks, plush velvets and spun gold treasures in an Aladdin's cave of gypsy boho with a touch of Victoriana. There's no beige-rage here so come and live your life large in vivid technicolour.

* Location, location, location! Right in the heart of Katoomba. Ten minutes walk to Echo Point, the Three Sisters and 10 minutes to the village centre. Fifteen minutes' walk from the station. A stroll to galleries, cafes, restaurants and bush walks. Leave your car at home.
* Spacious 100sqm apartment.
* Private entrance with sunny porch, garden terrace and private deck with courtyard and barbecue.

* Ensuite wet room with rosewater aromatherapy shower.

Very cozy property close Katoomba town centre. The host was very welcoming and ensured we were comfortable.Bed was comfy and warm with a heated blanket. Coffee and tea facilities with a small fridge. Lovely living room to relax and wind down. Cafe next door had wonderful breakfast and atmosphere too!Thanks for a lovely stay!

Iconic and comfortable

This house was comfortable, cosy and had an old world charm. The host was warm, friendly and very hospitable; she even offered a plate of soup. She gave recommendations for entertainment and restaurants in the area. While making-herself available, she respected our privacy at the same time. Recommended.

Beautifully Cosy

A gorgeously decorated home! My partner and I’s vibe for sure, very romantic and different. Location is amazing, we mostly walked everywhere. Jilea was so communicative and lovely making sure we had everything we needed. The windows overlook beautiful trees and the slight parts of tin roof make the rain sound so nice. We loved the heated blanket and comfy lounge. The shower and bathroom overall was so nice as well. We’d definitely stay again next time we come up to Katoomba! :)

Despite a sticky start regarding not dinding t&c's with request for a damage deposit (platform error?) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jilea's, a very quirky self contained space. The weather during our stay fluctuated so the electric blanket and throw were greatly appreciated. Jilea is a super host who couldn't have done more to make our stay the best it could be.

Attractive and quaint but read the T&Cs Carefully

The lengthy additional terms and conditions were a bit of a turn-off (you won't get to see them until after you've booked which, in NZ, would be against fair trading act). If you're OK with that, this place is well located and would be beautiful to stay in during the summer months.

A really wonderful host, she could not have done more for us. Beautiful home where she made us feel very welcome, and had a glass of wine for us when we arrived. Really gorgeous decorations, and even though it was freezing outside when we were there, she made every effort to make sure we were warm! She has a simply delightful dog too, with impeccable manners. She even offered to drive us places to see. We can't wait to go back to visit!
