「We loved the pool! Our room was clean, smelled clean and was very nice. The beds are so very comfortable. I slept extremely well, all through the night, which is remarkable. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Parking lot has some potholes that need filled in and additional handicap parking is needed. Check in/out was simple and quite friendly. I plan to return again soon as I travel to Summersville to visit my son and his lovely wife. 」

「Easy well lit parking right in front of our unit. Easy check in. Quiet room. Bed was ok for comfort. Breakfast is minimal. Advertised as having yogurt & when I have stayed they never have it. Coffee is good, but minimal cereal, no juices. Some toast & waffle machine. Although our shower looked very clean on arrival, my husband showered & the tub was filthy after. I suspect the dirt came off the curtain.」

「Terrible experience!! Going thru a major remodel!! Pool closed and a toilet sitting by the pool, dirty check in at side door, no breakfast available at Hampton, was told to go next door to Fairfield inn, this hotel should have been closed for remodel. 」

「Great staff, very friendly and attentive. The hotel is an old house, but it has been well maintained and has a really cool vibe. We loved the bar and lobby area as well as the restaurant. The drinks and food were 10/10! 」

「What an intriguing town and the Elk River Hotel is definitely the place to stay in Sutton. Emily is a native and warm and welcoming and Francisco is a joy. Don't miss his delicious Latin breakfast which is included in the price. The website could use updating. The restaurant at the hotel is closed, though there is a weekend bar, and a good place to eat in town is the Braxton Bistro. The hotel is situated directly on the Elk River in a beautiful spot. Try the glamping unless you have dog....
