"Food was really gorgeous. We had breakfast, dinner and cream tea there. All excellent. Room was very comfortable but small. Hotel garden lovely. Drinks great. Service was haphazard: often had to go inside to seek or give a food order, or request cutlery once food had come etc, as hard to flag someone down once we’d been seated/served. Some staff were welcoming, some were brusk. Hotel in beautiful town and was a lovely place. Overall, would go again. "

"This property was so beautiful - the photos do not fully do it justice. The house is very spacious. It is easy to find and in a scenic setting. The gardens are really pretty and well kept, the outhouse is a lovely space to feel like you are outside even when the weather is bad and the interior has a cosy feel and is beautifully decorated. The beds are SO COMFY! Overall we were very impressed."

"We had a fantastic Easter weekend at the Chairman’s Retreat. A great property for the 8 of us, perfect location for the activities we had planned. The property has everything you need if you were to stay in and cook, but a great location to drop into Stroud to try the local restaurants and the Farmers Market on Saturday morning."

"It was super lovely to spend a romantic getaway with my husband. What I can say is we didn't stay long enough. There is more to do here than we allowed time for. Tricia has done an amazing job on the place and you will be delighted. The nice big tub was a joy after a days long walk. The beds were super comfy with snuggly linens. The main bedroom feels so luxurious you may not want to leave. Views are spectacular.... we loved the Felt Cafe on the Canal. Only thing we didn't particularly like...
